CityTax

Please note that from 01 January 2014 the state of Berlin levies an overnight tax on all tourist stays.

This "CityTax" amounts to 5% of the net overnight price plus the applicable VAT and is levied per night.

It is not due if the hotel guest has proven by form that the stay is of a purely business nature. In all other cases, the hotel is obliged to withhold the tax and pay it to the City of Berlin.
